gekkan shoujo nozaki-kun is a treasure,
Guys this is really important!
Because Japan is losing so much money due to anime and manga piracy, they’re going to start removing illegally uploaded anime from 580 foreign sites who don’t have the copyright holder’s permission.
Starting TOMORROW (August 1st) Japan is going to randomly send requests to delete the pirated anime and manga off of the 580 sites they have found.
It is so easy to watch 90% of Japanese animation right now legally in the US (Hulu, CrunchyRoll, Funimation, etc), it’s usually free with some ad viewing and the money off that ad revenue actually goes to the creators, distributors, and officially-sanctioned translation teams. No reason to be pirating this shit — and oh look, Japan does care and wants you to stop.
I’ve removed the OP’s link to the supposed “Japan-launched legal site” as it goes to something that is either blank or sets off all my virus alarms depending on the browsers and is NOT mentioned in any of the official articles (meaning it’s probably just another pirate site).
you can tell the first generation of weeaboos are starting to make cartoons. you can just tell.
Yo, every generation of animated show runners is going to have its references towards anime, seeing as we all brushed softly against it in our youth.
This has been happening for years even before this so called “First Generation” omg
Remember the “Anime Parody Generation” BEFORE this???
I remember being a kid and I LIVED for this shit when I saw it on TV.
Studio Ghibli has debuted its first live-action short.
Neon Genesis Evangelion animator Shinji Higuchi has worked with the animation company to direct Giant God Warrior Appears in Tokyo (Kyōshinhei Tokyo ni Arawaru).
The film features a giant monster attacking the Japanese capital and serves as a prequel to Ghibli classic Nausicaä.
Narrated by a young woman (Megumi Hayashibara), a strange glowing phenomenon heralds the arrival of the alien creature which dwarfs the city.
Ghibli director and co-founder Hayao Miyazaki provided the design for the short’s monster.
This is the first time the company has been involved with a live-action project.
